The US Open is underway but one of the big names not taking part is Spanish superstar, Jon Rahm.
The LIV Golf star made his way over to Pinehurst this week but was forced to withdraw from the tournament with a foot injury just before things got going.
For Rahm, missing out on the majors is a big blow to him personally.

The major tournaments give Rahm the chance to show the world he’s still one of the top players around as he loses OWGR ranking points while signed with LIV.

Of course, Rahm is a golf fan above all else and while he’s disappointed to be missing out on proceedings, he’s still doing what the rest of us are.
Taking to social media platform X to show what he was up to after withdrawing, Rahm showed everyone he is resting up with his foot wrapped up and simply taking in the US Open action.
Why Jon Rahm pulled out of the US Open at Pinehurst
Rahm was coming into the tournament nursing a foot problem anyway and had withdrawn from the LIV Houston event last weekend.
It was a sign of things to come as well as Rahm, despite playing a practice round at Pinehurst, admitted defeat on Tuesday.
“After consulting with numerous doctors and my team, I have decided it is best for my long term health, to withdraw from this weeks US Open Championship,” Rahm commented.
“To say I’m disappointed is a massive understatement! I wish all my peers the best of luck and want to thank all of the USGA staff, volunteers and community of Pinehurst for hosting and putting on what I’m sure will be an amazing championship!
“Hopefully I’ll be back in action sooner than later!”
With just The Open left out of the majors, Rahm will be desperate to see his foot injury heal up and get better in time for Royal Troon.
Like so many Europeans, he’ll be desperate to win the final major of the year in the UK.
