Jim Furyk finally has his US Team complete for the upcoming Presidents Cup against the International Team.
Furyk snubbed Justin Thomas with his Presidents Cup captain’s picks, instead opting for Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Brian Harman, Russell Henley and Max Homa.
Scottie Scheffler meanwhile is among the US players to have qualified automatically, joined by Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay and Sahith Theegala.
Scheffler is eyeing a Presidents Cup win, with the event set to take place at The Royal Montreal Golf Club.
Furyk is certain to come under fire for some of his picks, having selected the six highest points earners in the qualification list.

Will Scottie Scheffler partner Sam Burns at the Presidents Cup?
The captain has now discussed one potential pairing in particular, having been asked if close friends Scheffler and Burns will play together despite their recent struggles at Marco Simone and Quail Hollow.
Discussing the potential partnership, Furyk said: “It’s not a given. I would say in Marco Simone they were probably both struggling with parts of their game. Scottie wasn’t putting his best that week.
“When I go back to Charlotte, they were thrown together, and although their record wasn’t well, their scoring was well. They just happened to play against groups that scored very well, also.
“They would have won almost every match on the golf course in some of those sessions, they just happened to not win the one they were in because the team they played against played so well.
“I wouldn’t rule it out, but it’s definitely not a given. I think both of them know that, and I’d have no issue pairing them together in certain formats. But it’s definitely not a given.”
And when jokingly asked if he was lying, Furyk responded: “Not at all. That time I’m telling the dead truth. I’ll tell you when I’m lying. I already did.”
Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns hoping to extend Team US dominance
Montreal awaits 12 American stars and 12 international stars, who will go head-to-head for glory later this month.
Good friends Scheffler and Burns played three times together at Quail Hollow back in 2022, where the US Team emerged victorious.
They overcame the International Team 17½ – 12½ in North Carolina to secure a ninth consecutive win and continue their Presidents Cup dominance.
Scheffler and Burns also partnered at the 2023 Ryder Cup, but the American duo lost out to European pairing Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton in Friday’s first foursomes match.
They didn’t have a great time in Rome as Team Europe lifted the iconic trophy, but they could put that behind them by pairing and winning in Canada.
The duo should be well rested in the build-up to the team event, with Scheffler and Burns set for a break ahead of the Presidents Cup.
