Jason Day and Tom Kim say what they bring to the International Team at the Presidents Cup

Jason Day and Tom Kim are among the stars looking to clinch success for the International Team at the Presidents Cup.

Min Woo Lee wants to play with Day at the Presidents Cup, which is set to take place in Montreal later this month.

But standing in the way of the International Team is a very strong US Team, which includes star men Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele.

Scheffler wants Presidents Cup success to continue his stunning individual season, having just won the Tour Championship.

He leads the way in an exciting side under captain Jim Furyk, alongside the likes of Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark.

But the International Team also comprise some big names in the world of golf, including Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott.

Many of Mike Weir’s side have now been sharing their attributes in the build-up to the event, as per the International Team on X.

Day simply said he brings ‘heat’ to the International Team, with his teammate Kim noting that he brings ‘passion/hype’.

Si Woo Kim also said he brings ‘passion’, with Byeong Hun An bringing ‘experience’ and Mackenzie Hughes bringing ‘fire’.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout opted for ‘confidence and grit’, with Corey Conners and Min Woo Lee choosing ‘consistency’ and ‘190mph ball speed’ respectively.

Can the International Team cause a Presidents Cup upset?

The International Team are seemingly in high spirits ahead of the Presidents Cup, which will be hosted by The Royal Montreal Golf Club.

Both teams have now been finalised, and it is certainly Furyk’s outfit that are the much stronger side on paper.

History also favours the US Team, who now boast nine successive wins over the International Team in the tournament.

Captain Davis Love III guided the hosts to their latest victory in 2022, with the US Team winning 17.5-12.5 at Quail Hollow Club.

An upset could be on the cards this time around, but that is very unlikely given the form of the likes of Scheffler, Schauffele and Morikawa among other American stars.
