Bryson DeChambeau was among the LIV Golf stars to have recently taken on another major championship, finishing T2 at the PGA Championship.
Johnson Wagner thinks DeChambeau has improved his short game, which was certainly on display at Quail Hollow earlier this month.
DeChambeau finished on six under at the PGA Championship, five shots behind champion Scottie Scheffler.
The LIV Golf player was joined in T2 by Harris English and Davis Riley, with the US Open now up next in terms of major championship golf for DeChambeau.
His fellow LIV Golf ace Patrick Reed has just qualified for the US Open, which gets underway at Oakmont next month.

Jack Nicklaus shares his honest opinion of Bryson DeChambeau as a golfer
But it is DeChambeau who enters the tournament as the defending champion, having triumphed at Pinehurst in 2024.
Legendary figure Jack Nicklaus has now shared his take on the former PGA Tour man, telling Good Good: “Bryson is about 130mph [swing speed] and 195mph [ball speed].
“He is long. He controls the ball quite well with what he does. I am very impressed with what he does. Took himself, transformed his body.
“He has done a pretty nice job of learning how to continue to control the ball. He has the same lengths shaft, upright. The Mad Scientist prevailed. He did a nice job.”
Why Bryson DeChambeau can be confident of defending his US Open title
DeChambeau will be doing well if he comes even remotely close to the success that Nicklaus achieved in his career.
The legend sits top of the pile for major championship wins with 18, while his stunning career also includes 73 PGA Tour titles.

It will never be known just how many PGA Tour wins DeChambeau would have right now had he not left for LIV Golf, which he did in 2022.
But one certainty is that he is playing very good golf at this moment in time, with his T2 finish at the PGA Championship coming shortly after an impressive display at The Masters.

Rory McIlroy emerged victorious at Augusta National last month, but DeChambeau took T5 in another top major performance.
And there is every chance that he can continue his strong form into the US Open, particularly given that he is the defending champion and thanks to his very recent finishes on the Saudi-backed tour.
He will have one final chance to fine-tune his game at LIV Golf Virginia early next month, with all eyes then turning to Oakmont.
DeChambeau won at LIV Golf Korea last time out, with that success helping the Crushers GC captain occupy second place in the individual standings.
