Jack Nicklaus is so happy for McIlroy, with the latter now joining the legendary figure in winning the career Grand Slam.
McIlroy also joins Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Tiger Woods in that regard after his win at The Masters.
After finishing joint-first with Justin Rose after four rounds at Augusta, the Northern Irishman won in a playoff.

And the viewing figures from the dramatic day have now emerged, with CBS Sports PR noting on X that it was the most-watched final round of The Masters since 2018.
The Sunday drew 12.707 million viewers, up 33% from 2024, with a peak of 19.543 million between 7-7.15PM ET).

The action itself undoubtedly played a key role in drawing a huge TV audience for the Sunday at Augusta.
It was a roller-coaster day in Georgia, with the top of the leaderboard constantly changing throughout the final round.
All eyes were on McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau as they headed into the round sitting first and second respectively, with the duo the final pairing of the day.
But perhaps surprisingly it was the former who was box-office, hitting a mix of poor shots and phenomenal shots as DeChambeau fell back.

Rose meanwhile carded a stunning 10 birdies to force a playoff, after McIlroy had shot himself in the foot with a missed putt to win The Masters on 18.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler also remarkably found himself somewhat in contention at one stage, while former champion Patrick Reed made a late surge to impressively finish in third.
