Grant Horvat has had some huge opportunities across the golfing world in recent times but he’s been clear when it comes to picking his best tour and favourite player.
Horvat has done a number of collaborations over the years and has recently struck up a big partnership with six-time major winner, Phil Mickelson.
That has led him to playing in events like the LIV Duels and more, and he’s got more than enough experience now to form opinions on all things golf.
Of course, Horvat has been pretty close to things in terms of LIV Golf coming into the picture, while his good friend Wesley Bryan has also recently been suspended by the PGA Tour.
Now, Horvat has been doing a Q&A and revealed which side he prefers, as well as his favourite player.

Grant Horvat picks between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf
Horvat has been doing a bit of a truth or lies test for Takomo Golf and within that, he was asked a number of questions.
Among those questions, Horvat was asked about his favourite golfer out of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, while he was also pressed on if he prefers the LIV or PGA Tour product.
Most underrated course in America
“One of my favourites that I have played around this area that I have played in Jupiter Hills.”
When asked about Tiger or Phil, Horvat hesitated, before answering.
“That’s so messed up! I would say Tiger,” Horvat admitted.
When asked what the worst thing about Phil Mickelson is, Horvat again got caught out.
“I have only known Phil for a little over a year as a person. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about him.”
Finally, he was asked to pick between the PGA and LIV Tours, with mention of good friend Wesley Bryan’s suspension.
“PGA,” Horvat quipped. “No, I do! [care that Bryan was suspended] I do like both of them. I think it’s fun to play both with PGA Tour players and LIV players.”
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson’s PGA Tour records compared
Picking between two greats of the game like Mickelson and Woods is always a tough one and while most would probably lean towards Tiger as Horvat did, they’re both brilliant players.
21 majors between them and over 100 wins, there’s not a lot they haven’t done between them.
| Tiger Woods | Phil Mickelson | |
| PGA Tour wins | 82 | 45 |
| Money earned | $120,999,166 | $96,685,635 |
| Cuts made | 339/378 | 537/668 |
| Top tens | 199 | 198 |
| Ryder Cup appearances | 8 | 12 |
We’re now past the point of Tiger and Phil battling it out in golf but over the years, they’ve provided us with some magic moments.
If there’s one more chance of seeing them out together, then it would surely capture the attention.
