Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club fell to a heavy defeat during the second fixture of the tech-infused TGL.
Full of confidence, Woods threw down ‘The Hammer’ before his opening tee shot and split the virtual fairway in half; unfortunately, that was as good as it got for the 15-time major winner, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner.
Los Angeles Golf Club – made up of Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala – raced into a 5-0 lead before ending the alternate shot section 8-1 up. Jupiter Links GC were eventually thrashed 12-1.
The heavy defeat came after New York Golf Club were comfortably beaten during the opening match last week. Now, golf fans believe competitiveness is required to make the TGL more compelling.
Golf fans now say what needs to happen at the TGL

Many golf fans said the same thing on X after watching Woods’ team suffer a crushing defeat.
“Zero competition is not enjoyable to watch. Needs to be better competition,” this fan wrote.
“I’m enjoying it, but it’s not been competitive yet, and that’s hurt to keep the tension. Those first three holes showed what it can be when the stakes are high,” another added.
This fan said, “Positive. They may have to tinker with new scoring rules over time, but overall, it was positive. The golfers’ in-game updates, fast-paced fan interaction, and speed of play make it fun to watch.”
Another added, “Yeah, we need a competitive match. Sports rely on that.”
Finally, this fan was confident the TGL would improve if matches became more closely fought.
“I like it. As mentioned, I think it’ll get better as matches get more competitive and closer toward later holes,” they wrote.
