Bryson DeChambeau leads LIV South Korea on 13-under-par after 36 holes, following rounds of 65 and 66.
DeChambeau is undoubtedly one of the three best players in world golf right now, alongside Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.
It’s such a shame that he is playing over on LIV Golf, as we just don’t get to see him play alongside those two players outside of the majors.
The 31-year-old is pure box-office entertainment, whether you like him or not.
DeChambeau has been putting so much better at LIV South Korea, and he has tightened up his iron play as well.

It’s little wonder why he is leading by four shots heading into the final round on Sunday.
Golf fans fans think it was ‘sad’ to see what Bryson DeChambeau said at LIV South Korea
There is a feeling that those who play on LIV overly talk up the Saudi-backed golf league.
And what DeChambeau said on Friday was a perfect example of that.
Out in South Korea, DeChambeau was asked about the atmosphere at LIV events in general, and whether they are comparable to majors.
And his response raised some eyebrows.
DeChambeau said, “It’s got to be upwards of a couple thousand now for sure, but it’s great. The Korean fans out here have been fantastic. Nothing but super sweet and nice. It’s definitely appreciated when I come to a new place for the first time and see the amount of fans wanting an autograph, kids lighting up. That’s what makes my day. It’s certainly awesome, and that’s why I play the game of golf.
“I feel like this is sometimes a little bit more amplified in certain scenarios. It’s very similar, which makes me comfortable actually in major championship settings.
“I think every event is a little more elevated in regards to the noise level and the hustle bustleness. So when you go play a major, like even the Masters or the U.S. Open, you’re going to see some rowdiness out there. They want to see competitiveness and fire. They’re going to be cheering you on. So I feel like it’s very good prep going into these majors. It’s definitely been helpful the past couple years for me. I’ve been playing a lot better in them.“
And unsurprisingly, some golf fans took DeChambeau to task for his quite frankly ludicrous comments…
One golf fan said, “Jesus he talks some rubbish.“
Whilst another fan belittled LIV Golf, “Rinky dink exhibition league.“
Meanwhile, a third suggested that DeChambeau isn’t genuine, “This guy is so phony I can’t believe all the rubes that fall for it. Just hollow. Who buys this?“

A fourth golf fan vented his frustrations at LIV, “The LIV events are glorified exhibition events at this stage. Many of the players seem to have lost their competitive advantage.“
Whilst another fan wasn’t happy at all with DeChambeau’s comments, “Why would he blatantly lie like this?“
Then a sixth fan questioned the veracity of the American’s remarks, “The rowdiness of a few hundred people compare to that on a major championship? Is that real? He really thinks that?“
And one golf fan suggested that it is actually sad to see ‘his talents wasted’ on LIV:
Can DeChambeau win the PGA Championship with his key advantage
DeChambeau will be desperate to send out a big statement and win the third major title of his career in two week’s time at Quail Hollow.
The PGA Championship should suit longer hitters, and with DeChambeau’s length, he should have a huge advantage.
The 31-year-old’s game is certainly right where he would like it to be right now.
It will just be a question of whether he can marry up everything at the right time at Quail Hollow.
As things stand, DeChambeau will surely contend at The PGA Championship at the very least.
