Genesis Championship predictions
The Golfing Gazette writers have predicted the winner of the Genesis Championship in South Korea this week.
James Shearman: Thriston Lawrence carded an excellent final-round 65 at the India Championship to finish on the podium. If he continues in that form in Korea, he will be difficult to stop.
Peter Lynch: Keita Nakajima got Tommy Fleetwood’s seal of approval after their battle in India, and I think he has what it takes to go one step further this week.
Jordan Harris: Daniel Hillier had a brilliant opportunity to win last week in India before a nightmare double bogey all but ended his charge. He will be desperate to get across the line this week.
Charlie Walker: Sungjae Im had an up-and-down season, but he put in some great performances in 2025, including a T5 finish at The Masters. Im had a solid showing at the Baycurrent Classic with a T20 finish, and I expect him to make another leap in this weaker field and take the victory at his home country tournament.
Jakob Barnes: I fancied Si Woo Kim at the Baycurrent Classic, but after a strong start there, he fell away and had a tough final round. I’ll give him another chance here on home soil. With a weakened field and familiar surroundings, he’ll have a great opportunity here.
