There will come various points in the next few years which say a lot about how happy many players are with their decision to join LIV Golf, as the league looks to agree new contracts with those who jumped ship from the PGA Tour.

While LIV Golf has not exactly managed to capture the imagination during its first few years, there is no denying that many of their players appear to have no regrets about signing with the league.

It was jarring when Brooks Koepka admitted that LIV is not as far along as it should be earlier this year. It is rare to hear any hint of criticism from those involved with the league.

Of course, that could be because they are genuinely happy. But inevitably, some will question whether certain players are prepared to publicly share their true feelings about the league while they are under contract.

Kevin Na discusses whether he regrets leaving the PGA Tour for LIV Golf

Hudson Swafford admitted that he had doubts after signing with LIV. Meanwhile, Eugenio Chacarra hit out at LIV after his contract was not renewed for this season. Obviously, it must be noted that it is hard to imagine either player rejecting a fresh deal with LIV had it been offered before their departures.

Kevin Na is one of those who left the PGA Tour in 2022. The 41-year-old won five times on the tour before making the move. He is now the captain of Iron Heads on LIV.

And speaking on The Colin Cowherd Podcast, Na was fairly emphatic in whether he had any regrets about his decision to sign with LIV.

“I love going to these Asian countries and playing. For me obviously being Asian, the Asian fans are going to feel like a bit more of a home crowd,” he said.

“Speaking of families in the past few years, it is hard to travel with three kids internationally, but we have taken one or two or at times three to these different countries.

“I was able to show my kids different parts of the world at a young age and I think that’s very cool for them to learn different cultures and experience it.

“I think it really opens their eyes to the world. We really enjoy that experience.

“I will be honest, I have never been happier at home. My golf game honestly has not been that great but I feel in the last few rounds something has clicked and I think I am about to go on a good run of golf.
But at home I am home more often for my kids, I get to travel the world with my family.

“Looking back at it now I think it was a great decision. I have talked about this with my wife and when we go back two and a half, three years ago, we go back and if we had a time machine would we make the same decision? The answer is yes.”

How Kevin Na has performed on LIV Golf this season

Na has struggled to make an impact on LIV. In fact, he has work to do this season just to ensure that he stays out of the drop zone. LIV have warned players that relegation will be enforced this year.

He is currently 44th in the standings and has failed to finish inside the top 30 at his last seven events.

Na has generally been a regular fixture in the open zone. But they were the surprise package in last year’s Team Championship as they beat Brooks Koepka‘s Smash side before then overcoming Bryson DeChambeau and the Crushers in Dallas.

Iron Heads are going to have another brutal path in front of them again if they hope to make the final this year, with the team bottom in the standings right now. They have finished no higher than eighth this season.
