Padraig Harrington is certainly a man who knows how to keep himself relevant in the world of golf it seems.

The two-time major winner is still a regular feature on tour and now plays a lot of his rounds over the Champions Tour.

However, it is away from the course where Harrington is arguably leaving his biggest impression right now.

The 52-year-old has made quite the name for himself with a number of ‘Paddy’s Tips’ style videos doing the rounds on social media platforms.

Harrington’s in-depth knowledge of the game has caught the eye of many a golfer and amateurs now see him as a solid source of coaching and information.

However, speaking about Harrington, DP World Tour player Eddie Pepperell has admitted there might be one flaw to Harrington’s methods.

Eddie Pepperell shares the one shortfall Padraig Harrington has as a golf coach

Speaking on this week’s episode of The Chipping Forecast podcast, Pepperell had high praise for Harrington but admitted the man’s sheer knowledge of the game could confuse a few.

“Yeah, Padraig’s shortfall as a coach might be that he knows too much and you could go for a lesson and end up working on a dozen different things and that can be a coach’s downfall sometimes,” Pepperell said.

“But Padraig listened and we’ve all waxed lyrical about him. However, he did say one thing once at an airport last year, that a woman would one day win on the PGA Tour, which I just couldn’t agree with. So I think if we were to get him on the podcast, he would be an interesting hour, entertaining for sure.”

Padraig Harrington is the man to go to for golfers the world over

As we know, everyone has something different they need to work on in golf and everyone is also different in terms of how they get coaching delivered and how they receive it.

But Harrington does seem to have a really simplistic way of getting some key points across.

Indeed, Pepperell’s comments here are nothing malicious and are almost a compliment to Harrington for how much he knows the game.

In the clip, Pepperell also praises a number of the tip videos Harrington has provided and says most golfers would do well to follow his advice.

Harrington, then, is quickly becoming the main man in the social media world when it comes to those all important golf lessons.
