Cameron Young put in a stellar performance for the US Ryder Cup team throughout the week at Bethpage Black.
Young won three and lost only one of his four Ryder Cup matches at Bethpage and he was the standout performer for Keegan Bradley.
Bryson DeChambeau lauded his Ryder cup teammate Young after playing with the New Yorker in the Saturday morning foursomes.
Young admitted he was incredibly excited to play in the Ryder Cup and that showed with his play during the three days.
He drove the ball superbly well, was on point with his iron play and putted exceptionally to help lead the charge of the US team during the Sunday singles.
His victory over Justin Rose proved to be the catalyst for the Americans as they attempted to wipe out the Europeans’ huge lead.
The lead proved to be insurmountable in the end, but Young was one of the few United States team members who left Bethpage with his head held high.
So what next for Young?
Dan Rapaport predicts what could happen to Cameron Young after the Ryder Cup
Had Bradley used Young in all five sessions for the US at the Ryder Cup, the end result may have been very different.
The 28-year-old was second in strokes gained total for the week behind only Tommy Fleetwood.

The future looks very bright for Young.
Dan Rapaport has been speaking on his Dan on Golf YouTube show, and made a prediction about Young ahead of the 2026 season.
He said: “Cameron Young was a major bright spark for Team USA. The New Yorker needed a serious rally later in the year to get in the team and he played his butt off.
“We saw this with Scottie Scheffler in 2021 when he beat Jon Rahm at Whistling Straits, he hadn’t even had a PGA Tour win yet, and he’s racked up quite in the last four years.
“Now I’m not saying Cameron Young is going to become the next Scottie Scheffler and the best player since Tiger Woods but he did his first win earlier this summer and I think he’s going to get a lot more.
“The way he closed out that match on 18th. Rose is really fiery and he was coming back on him. To make that birdie on 18 in the first match, that was seriously macho.“
Cameron Young vs Scottie Scheffler: PGA Tour records compared
Scheffler has clearly been head and shoulders above everyone else in the professional game over the past few years.
In 2026, he was absolutely unstoppable from May onwards really.
Here is how Young’s career record on the PGA Tour stacks up against Scheffler’s:
| Achievements | Young | Scheffler |
| Events played | 98 | 150 |
| Major wins | 0 | 4 |
| Wins | 1 | 19 |
| Top-5s | 15 | 56 |
| Top-10s | 26 | 76 |
| Missed cuts | 21 | 19 |
| Money earned | $24,760,596 | $99,453,136 |
After the man from New York opened the floodgates at the Wyndham Championship back in August, his self-belief grew instantly.
And now Young will be feeling almost untouchable after his sensational showing at Bethpage Black during the Ryder Cup.
A multiple-win PGA Tour season could well be on the cards for him in 2026.
