Collin Morikawa has suffered another near miss on the PGA Tour, having narrowly lost out on the Arnold Palmer Invitational trophy.
Morikawa is close to winning big in 2025, but fell short once more at Bay Hill as Russell Henley won the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
World number four Morikawa is struggling to get over the line when it matters, with his last PGA Tour win coming at the 2023 Zozo Championship.
Morikawa had a three-shot lead over Henley in the final round, but ended up missing out on the title by one shot.
The American finished on 10-under in Florida after a final round even par, with his compatriot Henley shooting two-under to end on 11-under.

Collin Morikawa hurting after Arnold Palmer Invitational runner-up finish
Morikawa is a two-time major champion, winning the PGA Championship and The Open Championship in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
And while he has hit form as the Masters approaches, the 28-year-old may take a bit of time to recover from his latest result, as suggested in his latest Instagram post.
Taking to social media after the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he wrote: “No excuses. Never had any, but always a nice reminder. Honestly though, this one stings.”
Collin Morikawa suffers second 2025 near miss at Arnold Palmer Invitational
Morikawa knows better than anyone that he has just blown a superb chance to win his seventh PGA Tour title.
He will, of course, learn from the mistakes made in his final round, but at the same time Henley did produce a moment of magic to turn the tides.
Morikawa can also take plenty of confidence from his finish and indeed his 2025 season so far, having just his second runner-up spot.
He started the year by finishing second at The Sentry, before back-to-back finishes of T17 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational.
