CJ CUP Byron Nelson predictions

The Golfing Gazette experts have made their picks for the CJ CUP Byron Nelson this week.

Charlie Walker: Si Woo Kim has had a low-key fantastic season so far. He’s not played his best golf at the biggest events of the year, but week to week, he’s been a near lock for a top 10 finish. I expect more of the same this week, and his first win of the year

James Shearman: Jordan Spieth has not won a PGA Tour event for four years, but this week feels like an excellent opportunity. Apart from Scottie Scheffler, there is not a single player in the field who Spieth should be worried about. Spieth’s T18 finish at last week’s PGA Championship also suggests his game is trending in the right direction.

Peter Lynch: Scottie Scheffler certainly looks capable of dominating this one, but Max Greyserman is trending in the right direction, and I think his T14 finish at the PGA Championship could help push him over the line this week for his maiden win.

Jordan Harris: Pierceson Coody has had some impressive results in full-field events this year, including finishing second at the Farmers. If Scottie Scheffler does not win this week, which he surely will, let’s be honest, perhaps the 26-year-old will be able to secure his first-ever PGA Tour win.
