Cam Smith is currently away from LIV Golf this week as the Australian prepares to get going at the Australian PGA Championship.
Smith moved to LIV Golf in 2022, with the Ripper GC captain leading his side to the Team Championship in Dallas earlier this year.
It was a superb win for the all-Australian team, although Smith labelled his year ‘frustrating’ despite the success.
Smith will now have his sights set on a successful 2025 LIV Golf season, both personally and with Ripper GC.
At the moment, however, the Australian is back on home soil, with Royal Queensland Golf Club hosting the Australian PGA Championship.

How Cam Smith uses a mirror to practise his putting
The DP World Tour event comes immediately after the DP World Tour Championship, which was won by Rory McIlroy.
Smith will now be eyeing success this week, with the Australian sharing his putting technique with the DP World Tour ahead of the tournament.
Setting his ball towards the end of a mirror, Smith explained: “Yeah you can just see your setup basically, make sure you’re square every time.”
Cam Smith states his four fundamentals to a solid putting stroke
The technique is certainly not used by every golfer, but Smith clearly believes in the process he is currently using.
He is a six-time PGA Tour winner, but endured a roller-coaster major season in 2024, beginning with a T6 finish at the Masters.
But that was followed by T63 and T32 finishes at the PGA Championship and the US Open respectively, before Smith missed the cut at The Open Championship.
He is, of course, an Open winner, with the Australian having lifted the Claret Jug for his only major win back in 2022.
His putting played a key role in that success, with Smith undoubtedly one of the best in world golf in that area.
Explaining his putting in more detail for LIV Golf in February this year, Smith said: “The fundamentals to a solid putting stroke or game or whatever really you want to call it is probably the grip, set up, balance and tempo of stroke. They are always the four things that I really work on.
“It doesn’t sound like a lot but if one of those things is out generally you’re going to struggle a little bit, particularly with pace of putts, that’s always really important to me, making sure the ball goes in the hole with with the right pace. Everything has to be working for the putting to be perfect.”
