The Masters has finally arrived, with a long list of PGA Tour and LIV Golf stars vying for the green jacket.

A record eight left-handed players will be at The Masters this year, which as ever takes place at Augusta National.

Scottie Scheffler headlines the field for the 2025 Masters, where the world number one will be out to defend his title.

Rory McIlroy meanwhile seeks his first win at Augusta, while five-time champion Tiger Woods has been ruled out with injury.

Having won the tournament most recently in 2019, the 82-time PGA Tour winner has been forced into a watching brief after undergoing Achilles tendon surgery.

Butch Harmon names Tommy Fleetwood as shock Masters winner

LIV Golf star Phil Mickelson does, however, return to the site of his three major wins, with his former coach Butch Harmon now sharing his verdict on a potential winner.

Asked on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast who could spring a surprise, the legendary coach said: “For me it’s Tommy Fleetwood and I don’t say that just because I coach him.

“I love his demeanour. I love the way he plays. The one weak spot in Tommy’s game is putting from 15-12 feet, he doesn’t make those putts like all the other champions do.

“If he can have a good putting week, because we know he strikes the ball beautifully, he could have a great chance.

“He had a great year last year. The course suits him, he is a nice drawer of a golf ball. We have done some work before The Masters to try and get his ball flight a little higher with irons to stop it on the greens a little better.

“But I think in Tommy’s case he has the game to win here. He has to putt better than he has been putting.”

What are Tommy Fleetwood’s 2025 PGA Tour putting stats?

It would undoubtedly be a huge surprise if Fleetwood was to triumph at Augusta, primarily because he is yet to win on the PGA Tour in his career.

The 34-year-old Englishman has made over 150 starts, but his best result is represented by five runner-up places.

Intriguingly, Fleetwood sits at the very top of the pile for putting from greater than 25 feet on the PGA Tour in 2025, with 11.22% of putts made.

But his ranking drops in every other key area, with Fleetwood clearly needing to up his putting in order to really take his game to the next level.
