Bubba Watson remains one of the most high-profile players to have joined LIV Golf from the PGA Tour, which he did in 2022.
Watson said the PGA Tour lacked positivity when he was playing on it, where he collected 12 career wins in total.
But he accepted an invitation to join LIV Golf in the summer of 2022, with Watson taking on a role as captain of RangeGoats GC.
He currently occupies 29th place in the LIV Golf individual standings, with Watson believing he had an advantage in Mexico City last time out.
The two-time major champion finished T7 there, securing his first and only top 10 finish of the 2025 season to date.

Watson won The Masters on two occasions before his high-profile move to LIV Golf, which he has now discussed on The Pat McAfee Show.
Sharing insight into the fee he received, he said: “Just for the record, if it was $100million or whatever you all said yesterday.

“If it was $100million-plus I would not have even read the contract, I would have signed that thing so fast. So it wasn’t even near $100 million. Forget hundreds. The internet is not always true!”
How has Bubba Watson performed at major championships since moving to LIV Golf?
Watson had a delayed start to his LIV Golf career, having been unable to play for the entire rest of the year upon signing due to injury.
A torn meniscus prevented him from taking the field, with the American then making his debut at the start of the 2023 season.
Since then, Watson has been a regular on LIV Golf, playing all 13 events on the Saudi-backed tour in each of the last two seasons.
A similar scenario is playing out in 2025, with Watson having also taken on The Masters at Augusta National.
| Year | Tournament | 54 holes | Score | Margin | Runner(s)-up |
| 2012 | The Masters | 3 shot deficit | −10 (69-71-70-68=278) | Playoff | Louis Oosthuizen |
| 2014 | The Masters | Tied for lead | −8 (69-68-74-69=280) | 3 strokes | Jonas Blixt, Jordan Spieth |
The veteran finished T14 as Rory McIlroy came out on top, having missed the cut in Georgia in both 2023 and 2024 following his PGA Tour exit.
LIV Golf Virginia is now up next for the 46-year-old, who finished 36th and 53rd in the individual standings in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
