Rory McIlroy has etched his name into the history of The Masters and golf in general, having just conquered Augusta National.
McIlroy is proud to have won the career grand slam, with his win at The Masters following triumphs at the three other major championships.
Ryan Lavner thinks McIlroy was lucky on his way to the green jacket, which he won via a playoff success over Justin Rose.
The European Ryder Cup icons both finished on 11-under after four rounds, but the Northern Irishman quickly edged out the Englishman on the 18th hole.
Patrick Reed meanwhile made a surprise run to finish third on nine-under, followed by defending champion Scottie Scheffler in fourth on eight-under.

Bubba Watson sends message to Rory McIlroy after he wins The Masters at Augusta
Sungjae Im and Bryson DeChambeau meanwhile tied for fifth, with Ludvig Aberg completing the top seven.
But the plaudits have rightfully gone the way of the champion, with McIlroy having now earned praise from former champion Bubba Watson.
“Congratulations Rory McIlroy on a hard fought win to earn the green jacket – well deserved,” Watson wrote on X.
“Masters champion and career grand slam… not sure it gets any better!! Is it too early to ask what’s on the menu for the next Champions Dinner?”
What were Bubba Watson’s stats from The Masters after T14 finish?
McIlroy is now a five-time major champion after his success at Augusta, in what was his 11th attempt at securing the career grand slam.
But he does still fall short of Watson in terms of titles at The Masters, with the American having clinched the green jacket in 2012 and 2014.

They represent his only major championship wins, but he certainly gave the iconic course a good go once more this time around.
Watson ended The Masters T14 in the leaderboard on three-under, finishing superbly with a final round 68 after his 71, 72 and 74.
| Year | Tournament | Winning score | Margin | Runner(s)-up |
| 2012 | The Masters | −10 (69-71-70-68=278) | Playoff | Louis Oosthuizen |
| 2014 | The Masters | −8 (69-68-74-69=280) | 3 strokes | Jonas Blixt, Jordan Spieth |
He currently occupies 36th place in the LIV Golf individual standings, but outshone many of his rivals on the Saudi-backed tour last week.
His fellow former Masters champions Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia both missed the cut, while Watson was joined in T14 by Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton.
