Bryson DeChambeau’s future with LIV Golf is still very much up in the air.
DeChambeau’s current contract with LIV only runs until the end of the 2026 season, and all the talk right now is revolving around whether he will stay or follow Brooks Koepka and leave.
It was only three weeks ago when DeChambeau actually opened up on his future.
DeChambeau made it very clear that his talks with LIV are far from complete ahead of the 2026 season-opener in Riyadh.
The year is 2030, where will Bryson DeChambeau be?
LIV Golf, the PGA Tour or on YouTube permanently…
“I mean, look, it’s confidential,“ DeChambeau explained.
“I’m not going to share too much, but the conversations are in process. We have to get to a place where both parties have a good understanding of one another.“
He went on to suggest that a deal is getting closer, though.
DeChambeau said: “It is getting to a place that makes sense for both sides, and I think that can happen, but you never know.“
Bryson DeChambeau’s LIV Golf demands claim made
With DeChambeau still deep in negotiations with LIV, the next few weeks will be crucial to the Saudi-backed outfit’s hopes of keeping him.
When speaking on The Golf Channel Podcast with Rex and Lav, golf journalist Rex Hoggard responded when asked what losing DeChambeau would mean for LIV Golf.
He said: “That’s a big question mark, and it would come with a big paycheque. Let’s be honest. If Bryson thinks he’s worth something that starts with a B, he’s probably gonna hold out for that.
“And I would imagine he’s going to move on, because I don’t think that the public investment fund has any interest in paying those types of guarantees anymore.
“If they do not sign Bryson, and I’ve kind of said that flippantly, and I mean, I need to be careful about it, I would imagine that that would signal that LIV Golf’s days are probably numbered, the public investment fund is tired of investing this money.
“I don’t know if that’s necessarily true, because the long view here, in speaking with people involved with Liv Golf and beyond, they would tell you that they’re looking younger, that if they start picking off these young players, both internationally and in the United States, that’s probably a more sustainable future than what they started out with.
“And I could imagine that model working out for the next five or 10 years and seeing where they land, but certainly losing Bryson DeChambeau would be a blow.
“It’s not great for LIV Golf (losing Brooks Koepka), especially since he opted out of the last year of what was a very lucrative contract.
“And I’m guessing there was some money given back on that front.
“But losing Bryson would be a huge blow.“
If the two-time US Open champion doesn’t end up signing a new deal with LIV Golf, there have been rumors that he could concentrate on his YouTube content creation.
What does the future hold for Bryson DeChambeau?
DeChambeau is a real competitor at heart and it’s hard to imagine him focusing purely on YouTube content in the future.
PGA Tour player Michael Kim said he’d be shocked if DeChambeau didn’t play competitively in some form moving forward.

Much will depend on what happens with Brooks Koepka now.
If the five-time major winner is granted access back to the PGA Tour immediately, DeChambeau may well consider following his fellow American.
However, if Koepka is punished and made to wait too long before he can consider a PGA Tour return, perhaps that will speed up DeChambeau’s negotiations with LIV Golf.
The frustrating thing for golf fans is that DeChambeau is such an entertaining player. We want to see him play week in and week out.
As things stand, there is no guarantee of that happening, and that’s incredibly sad.
