PGA Tour star Brian Harman has explained why the 2024 PGA Tour season was the most frustrating year of his career after missing out on the Tour Championship.
The lefty’s season ended at the BMW Championship in Denver after he finished just outside the FedEx Cup top 30. After being picked for Jim Furyk’s USA team, Harman will now focus on the upcoming Presidents Cup in Montreal.
Yet, despite enjoying a solid 2024, the 37-year-old has been left frustrated after admitting his game was as good as it’s ever been.
Brian Harman makes frustrating PGA Tour admission

Speaking on the latest episode of the Fore Play Podcast, Harman shared his thoughts on his season as a whole.
“It’s constant; there’s always something. I think about my year this year. Someone asked earlier, ‘How was your year?’ Statistically, I’ve probably had my best year, but mentally, it was the most frustrating year that I’ve had on Tour,” Harman explained.
“All I knew I had to do was have it come together for a week, and a good year becomes a great year. It just didn’t happen, and I didn’t feel like it was going to happen. I was hitting further and hitting it better than I have done in my entire life.”
Brian Harman could be one to watch at the Presidents Cup
Harman will be looking to bounce back from his playoff heartbreak at the upcoming Presidents Cup in Montreal, and the lefty could be one to watch.
Harman’s ability to plot his way around a course is perfect for foursomes and fourball, and the American’s partnership with Max Homa was impressive during the 2023 Ryder Cup.
After the event in Quebec, preparations will start for the 2025 season, and the lefty will be hopeful of returning to the winners’ circle.
Harman’s last win on American soil came in 2017, and he will no doubt be desperate to end his eight-year wait for a home victory when the new season starts.
