Brian Harman is the defending Open champion this year and he’s been kicking off the media work ahead of the event in the summer.
Royal Troon is the host of this year’s signature event and it promises to provide the world’s best with the toughest of conditions up on Scotland.
Of course, The Open will see the best of the best come together as players from both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf will fight it out to be the winner.
As we know, LIV has some of the biggest names in golf right now with the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, and Jon Rahm all on the tour.
But speaking ahead of this year’s open to the media, defending champion Harman has said it’s another LIV Golf star who’s always being talked about on the PGA tour.

Brian Harman says PGA players are always talking about one LIV Golf star
In quotes shared by The Mirror after speaking at Royal Troon ahead of The Open this year, Harman admitted that Kim is big talking point on the PGA Tour.
“I’m always interested when someone kind of picks up the pieces and comes back. It’s nice to see him playing golf again. He sure was tough to beat when he was playing good. Hope he finds a little bit of that form,” Harman said.
“I heard that his personal life is going really well from all reports. I haven’t talked to Anthony personally in probably 12 years or so. But yeah, I’ve been rooting for him from the side-lines. We always exchange Anthony Kim stories, and he’s an easy guy to pull for. Hope he keeps it up and hope he gets a little bit of his form back.”
Anthony Kim needs some big results to be taken seriously again
While nobody in golf will blame Kim for taking the LIV money and making another go of things, sooner or later he’s going to need to produce.
As mentioned in the report here, he’s finished dead last in three from four events and only four off the bottom in the other in Hong Kong.
Over time, the novelty of his comeback will wear off and with it, his spot on LIV may come into jeopardy.
Kim, then, needs to find some form. He did shoot a five under par at LIV Hong Kong to show that there is still something there.
But in terms of being respected for his golf again, Kim needs to pick up, and fast.
As it stands right now, the hype has worn off a bit and unless he can produce, fans will simply lose any interest that was there initially.
