Scottie Scheffler has made a huge sum of money on the PGA Tour this year and Billy Horschel has been speaking about those earnings.
Horschel is not short of a few dollars himself having finished inside the FedEx top 30 and finishing second at The Open and in 8th place at the PGA.
Still the popular Horschel has admitted he’s not surprised to have been left out of the Presidents Cup team for Team USA.
Of course, one man who will be with the team is world number one, Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler won a host of signature events in 2024 and added a second green jacket to his resume, while Scheffler’s winnings of around $60m this year alone have also caught the eye.
And speaking of those winnings, Horschel has conceded that Scheffler has been doing something pretty special to get to those numbers.

Speaking on the Another Dooley Noted Podcast, Horschel was discussing Scheffler’s winnings on course and admitted to being super impressed by the world number one.
“Yeah, I mean, he passed Nicklaus a long time ago, I think he was like seven to ten million dollars, so yeah, it’s pretty incredible, what he’s done in the last three years, purse wise, I think he’s made close to $120m on the golf course in the last three years,” Horschel said.
“So yeah, I’m sure he’s going to give Texas a few dollars in the next few years.”
Scheffler has topped the PGA Tour money list in the last three seasons now and has gone on to become one of the all-time high earners in the game in doing so.
And with purses getting higher each year, it doesn’t look like Scheffler will be slowing down anytime soon either.
