Australian star Adam Scott finished one shot back at the BMW Championship as Keegan Bradley claimed his seventh PGA Tour victory.

Scott carded a brilliant 63 on day two to surge into the lead. However, the Aussie’s red-hot form fizzled out after he carded a two over 74 on Saturday and a level par 72 in the final round.

Nevertheless, Scott will participate in the Tour Championship after comfortably making the FedEx Cup top 30, having started the week outside the dotted line.

But, despite his impressive form, the 44-year-old was disappointed with something he did during his final round at Castle Pines.

Scott recently slammed his iron play, but it was the 44-year-old’s wedge game which let him down during the final round in Denver.

“Not quite the roller coaster that Saturday was, but ten, 11, 12 kind of blew it for me there. I was in position with wedges on every hole and made three bogeys. That’s almost unthinkable, really,” Scott explained during his post-tournament chat with the media.

The 2013 Masters winner also suggested that his putting wasn’t up to its usual high standards.

“I definitely struggled on the greens on the weekend. Just didn’t quite have the confidence in some of those putts. I generally played fairly well. I thought I played well off the tee today, which was nice. But just didn’t take advantage from there,” he added.

Adam Scott looking to repeat 2006 heroics at the Tour Championship

Scott won the Tour Championship back in 2006, and the Aussie will be looking to replicate his performance from 18 years ago at East Lake.

After starting the BMW Championship well outside the top 30, Scott needed a big week, and that’s exactly what he produced.

Now, due to the beauty of the FedEx Cup playoffs, he stands a genuine chance of winning golf’s most lucrative prize and will start on three under in Atlanta.

Bradley was the other massive winner at the BMW. The 2025 Ryder Cup captain climbed an astonishing 46 places and will start on six under at East Lake.
