Adam Scott is teeing it up in his 11th consecutive Presidents Cup, and the Aussie is looking to prevent a tenth successive win for the United States.

Scott was part of the last International Team to prevent a USA victory 21 years ago in South Africa. However, since the 17-17 tie at Fancourt Hotel and Country Club, complete domination has ensued.

Now, a new-looked 12-man International Team is looking to make history at Royal Montreal Golf Club, and Scott believes Mike Weir has a secret weapon at his disposal.

Fellow Aussie Min Woo Lee is making his first Presidents Cup appearance, and Scott believes the big-hitting 26-year-old could be one to watch in Quebec.

“Won’t be much of a secret if I put it out there first! But I’ll go out and say that Min Woo Lee could be it, and Adam Scott could be it too,” Scott told Golf Week.

“If I rate my own performance the last five Cups or so, I’d say I underperformed. And if I were being tough on Adam Scott, I’d say you better perform this time or don’t bother about trying to play another Presidents Cup.”

Min Woo Lee 2024 PGA Tour record

Lee landed two top-ten finishes during the 2024 PGA Tour season. The Aussie placed second twice, coming at the Cognizant Classic and Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.

However, after finishing 60th in the FedEx Cup standings, Lee was left to rue a poor end to the season. The 26-year-old missed the cut at The Open before also missing the weekend at the season-ending Wyndham Championship.

As a result, a T22 finish at the St Jude Championship wasn’t enough to extend his season beyond the first FedEx Cup playoff event. Lee also featured at last week’s Procore Championship, where he finished T32.

The Aussie relied on a pick to make the Presidents Cup team, and Weir will be expecting him to live up to the hype in Quebec this weekend.
