Scottie Scheffler is now in the midst of another huge week, with the world number one currently in action at the PGA Championship.
Hosted by Quail Hollow, Scheffler has been paired with defending champion Xander Schauffele and Masters champion Rory McIlroy for rounds one and two.
The 2025 PGA Championship represents the second major tournament of the season, following last month’s Masters at Augusta National.
Completing the major schedule this season are the US Open and The Open Championship in June and July respectively.
The former takes place at Oakmont Country Club, with the latter heading to Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

Scheffler was among the major champions last year, securing the green jacket for the second time in his career.
And ahead of his latest attempt at major success, the PGA Tour star has shared valuable insight for amateur golfers.
Speaking on a ‘Wedge Flighting Clinic’ for TaylorMade Golf, he said: “I think one of the misconceptions that amateurs have is they will see us hitting a certain shot where it’s coming in really low and they think we are hitting a full shot.

“But really, especially with wedges, you will rarely see an all out full shot, unless the pin is at the front and the greens are firm.
“Outside of that you are very rarely hitting it completely full. It really depends on how firm the greens are but when I am hitting wedge shots and mostly thinking about what I want the ball to do on the green. Mostly it’s to do with spin.
“I think some people have a misconception that we are always trying to spin the ball but I feel like whenever I am hitting wedges I am actually trying to take spin off it, especially with the fuller ones.”

There is arguably no better man to share such insight at this moment in time, even with Scheffler perhaps not at his very best.
The world number one did, however, just pick up his first win of the 2025 PGA Tour season, having had his start disrupted by injury.
Scheffler carded a stunning 31-under to triumph at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson earlier this month, which was more than ideal preparation for the PGA Championship.
Repeating his seven wins from 2024 is undoubtedly a tall order, but even with his hand surgery at the turn of the year, it would be foolish to bet against a similar tally in 2025.

The 28-year-old has entered Quail Hollow with 14 PGA Tour wins to his name, with nine starts made this season.
He has made the cut in all nine tournaments, with his stats reading one win, one runner-up finish and six top 10s.
