Wyndham Clark has a major concern ahead of the 2026 PGA Tour season

Wyndham Clark might be a major champion and nobody can ever take that away from him but as we head towards the 2026 PGA Tour season, he will be concerned.

Clark memorably won the US Open in 2023 to add to the Wells Fargo Championship he had already won that same year.

Since then, he’s won at Pebble Beach right at the start of 2024 as he looked to continue his fine run but ultimately, things have gone downhill for Clark ever since.

Right now, as we round off 2025 and head to the 2026 season next year, Clark will be as concerned as anyone about his form and ultimately, what the future might hold.

Wyndham Clark’s big worries heading into the 2026 PGA Tour season

Clark’s year on the PGA Tour in 2025 has been described as weird already and in fairness, that is an accurate description.

Three top 25s in the opening six events of the season seemed to spring cause for optimism, as did a 5th place finish at the Texas Children’s Open in March.

However, since then, Clark has just not been able to find anything.

In fact, it wasn’t until the end of June and the Travelers that Clark carded another top 20 finish, and although he did finish the season quite well with a T11 at the Scottish Open and a T4 in The Open, he’s just looked off it.

He finished T56 in the FedEx St Jude, failing to even make the TOUR Championship and ultimately, missed out on a Ryder Cup spot by some distance.

Worryingly as well, any headlines around Clark seem to be around things away from his golf game.

Wyndham Clark’s controversial 2025 is a big worry

Clark himself has admitted 2025 has been tough but while we can sympathise a touch on that front, there are aspects of his season we cannot overlook.

Clark made headlines for smashing a locker at Oakmont and at the end of the day, these misdemeanours are becoming commonplace with Clark.

Furthermore, Clark also had to apologise at the PGA Championship after he launched his golf club in anger during his round.

Right now, it seems like the frustration of not playing well is getting to Clark and going into 2026, there are serious concerns.

He is, of course, a top player on his day and you don’t win a US Open without having something about you.

But for the here and now, Clark has issues to sort and unless he does, 2026 could feel like a drag for him.
