Wyndham Clark has experienced a really challenging 2025 season on the PGA Tour, but a lot of his problems have been self-inflicted.
Clark is currently sitting in 49th position in the FedEx Cup points list, so he will have to play some decent golf to ensure that he advances to the BMW Championship next month.
Back in June, Clark caused major controversy when he damaged the Oakmont lockers during the US Open.
Earlier on in the season he caused a stir at the PGA Championship as well.
Clark aggressively threw his club into a T-Mobile advertising board behind the 16th tee at Quail Hollow.
He was forced to apologise immediately after that incident, and he clearly has anger issues which need to be resolved.
Perhaps a complete reset, or a fresh start if you will, is actually what the 2023 US Open champion really needs.
Wyndham Clark gives honest opinion on his golf this year
Clark has cut a really frustrated figure out on the golf course during the 2025 season.

His best performance by quite some distance actually came at The Open Championship last month where he finished in a tie for fourth.
That finish actually got him into the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but he clearly hasn’t been happy with his game overall.
Clark spoke to SIRIUSXM PGA Tour Radio about his season so far and made a really honest admission.
He said: “I’ve had a pretty crappy year and to make it into the Playoffs from where I was five or six weeks ago was a mini-goal of mine.
“I’m really happy to be where I’m at and hopefully I play amazing and get to the following week and then the Tour Championship. Realistically, I’m just glad that I’m in the Playoffs.
“You know, I’m kind of ready for a new year, there has been a lot of crap and just some poor golf. I’m ready for a clean slate and to start over but obviously we have a few more weeks and I’m hoping that I play my best golf.“
Wyndham Clark’s 2025 PGA Tour results
Considering Clark’s ability, 2025 has been a real slog for him.
Just two top-10 finishes in 21 starts is a really poor return for the 31-year-old, and he would admit that himself.
Here are his results from the 2025 season so far:
| Results | Clark’s totals |
| Events played | 21 |
| Wins | 0 |
| Top-5s | 2 |
| Top-10s | 2 |
| Top-25s | 8 |
| Missed cuts | 4 |
Clark’s comments about wanting to start over do not bode well for the Playoffs.
It kind of feels like he has mentally checked out of the 2025 season.
And Clark will be hoping to come back stronger in 2026 as he looks to get back into the PGA Tour winners’ circle.
