Bryson DeChambeau will be among the American players taking on the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black next month, which is a huge boost for the hosts.
Keegan Bradley confirmed DeChambeau’s Ryder Cup place after The Open Championship last month, but he has now just secured automatic qualification.
DeChambeau, Russell Henley and Harris English were confirmed for the American Ryder Cup team after the conclusion of the BMW Championship.
Champion Scottie Scheffler and his fellow PGA Tour players J.J. Spaun and Xander Schauffele had already been confirmed before the latest FedExCup Playoff event.
And while Scheffler is in a world of his own right now, LIV Golf star DeChambeau deserves more credit than most for playing his way to Bethpage Black.

Bryson DeChambeau deserves huge credit after Ryder Cup qualification
All American players had the opportunity to earn points beginning in 2024 and ending at the 2025 BMW Championship, with DeChambeau playing just eight recognised events during that spell.
He was, of course, plying his trade on LIV Golf at the same time, but battled his way onto the Ryder Cup team thanks to his major championship displays in 2024 and 2025.

Both seasons were similar, albeit he did manage to go the extra mile last year by winning the US Open at Pinehurst.
The American icon also missed the cut on two occasions, but made up for that with one runner-up and three top 10s in each season, including his US Open success.
Such superb displays have now earned him a fully deserved spot in Bradley’s team, with the sixth and final qualification spot having gone his way.

Bryson DeChambeau’s Ryder Cup record after he qualifies for Bethpage Black
DeChambeau is, of course, no stranger to the Ryder Cup, having played for the USA in both 2018 and 2021.
He will now take on the team event for a third time, entering Bethpage Black with a 2-3-1 record, including 1-0-1 in four-ball.
At Whistling Straits in 2021, he helped the hosts emerge victorious, securing 2.5 points with a 2-0-1 record.
Three years prior at Le Golf National he failed to score a single point, ending with a 0-3-0 record as Europe triumphed on home soil.
While his presence should be celebrated by his teammates and American fans, he does have a disadvantage heading to Bethpage Black next month given Bradley’s plans.
Bradley wants his team to take on the Procore Championship two weeks before the Ryder Cup, but DeChambeau is banned from taking part in PGA Tour events.
