Keegan Bradley will have some vitally important decisions to make ahead of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black next month.
Bradley was named as the US Ryder Cup captain last year, and his form has led to a situation whereby he could become the first American playing captain since Arnold Palmer performed both roles in 1963.
The top American players are expected to tell Bradley that they want him on the Ryder Cup team.
So if he doesn’t qualify for the team automatically, he will have to select himself as a captain’s pick for the showdown at Bethpage Black.
The United States have so many players coming into form at the right time including the likes of Chris Gotterup and Cameron Young.
Then the US Ryder Cup team has the likes of Spieth on the outside looking in.
So there are plenty of big names who could make a late charge and make the team even stronger.
Aside from that though, Bradley and his players are seemingly set to make an inspired move two weeks before the Ryder Cup begins that should increase their chances of winning the competition.
US Ryder Cup team to make unprecedented move before the Ryder Cup starts
The one main criticism of American teams over the past couple of decades has been how a lack of team unity has contributed to their failures.
The European players have always shared a very close bond while the American team has historically been put together by a swathe of huge stars who didn’t have any chemistry with one another.

That has definitely begun to change over the past four or five years, and now Bradley has taken things to a new level entirely.
Ben Griffin said just a few weeks ago how Bradley has made a concerted effort to get the potential American Ryder Cup players closer together.
Now, the 39-year-old from Vermont and his players have seemingly made another inspired decision to help them along with the unity in the team.
Bradley has highlighted how he and the rest of the Ryder Cup team will play at the Procore Championship at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California, two weeks before the start of the Ryder Cup.
The American Ryder Cup captain revealed the plans for the event in Napa, as quoted via SI.
“No one is required to go,” Bradley said. “The boys feel like this is the best course of action to be ready to play at their highest level at Bethpage.”
“I think the guys want to feel ready to go at Bethpage (Sept. 26-28) and they feel this is the best way to do it.”
Keegan Bradley and his Ryder Cup team make genius decision
Bradley and the rest of the US team playing at the Procore Championship will be an excellent move. It will enable the players to retain their competitive edge and it will bring all of the players on the team closer together.
None of the best players in the world have played in Napa at the fall event in the past, so this will be an unprecedented move from them.
And it is one that could well yield huge rewards.
The plans of Team Europe are unclear right now, but it would be a wise move from Luke Donald and his players to copy what the Americans are planning to do in Napa.
Going so long without playing competitively before a Ryder Cup is never a good idea, and Bradley and the United States team have clearly already taken steps to ensure that will not be happening this year.
