Justin Rose is an English golfer best known for winning the 2013 US Open and playing on multiple European Ryder Cup teams.

He may be one of the oldest players on the PGA Tour, but it seems Justin Rose is ageing like fine wine, as his golf game just gets better and better.

Rose is a stalwart of the European Ryder Cup team, playing a key role in the victories at Rome and Bethpage Black.

In fact, Rose has even been tipped to replace Luke Donald as captain for 2027’s Ryder Cup. But, given the way he’s playing right now, it’s hard to imagine him taking a back-seat any time soon.

Here, The Golfing Gazette offers a rundown of everything you need to know about Justin Rose, from his career stats and net worth, to personal life and social media.

The 45-year-old has previously been the world’s number-one ranked player, ascending to the top in September 2018. He slipped from number one briefly, before reclaiming his place in November of that year, but has not held the top spot since.

Justin Rose PGA Tour stats

Rose made headlines at the 1998 Open Championship, where he finished fourth in his first appearance as an amateur. The Englishman turned pro the next day but failed to make cuts during the early part of his career – he missed 21 consecutive cuts.

Rose officially joined the PGA Tour in 2004 and has played 445 events to date. He’s got 12 wins on the Tour, has been runner-up 17 times, and has landed in the top ten a whopping 117 times. In terms of cuts made, Rose has 347 out of 445, which is a 77.98% success rate.

His first win on the Tour came in 2010, in the Memorial Tournament. He also won the AT&T National that year.

Since then, Rose has bagged the BMW Championship in 2011, the World Golf Championships in 2012, the US Open in 2013, the Quicken Loans National in 2014, and the Zurich Classic in 2015.

He had to wait a couple of years for his next win, though. Rose bagged a couple of victories in the 2017-18 season, landing the World Golf Championships again and also winning the Fort Worth Invitational. Rose won the FedEx Cup that year thanks to those successes.

A win at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2019 was followed by a four-year wait for another victory. Rose landed the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am title in 2023, and then won the FedEx St. Jude Championship crown in 2025.

It’s worth noting that Rose also has 12 international wins on his record, including victories at the 2016 Olympic Games, and four wins in 2002 (Dunhill Championship, Victor Chandler British Masters, Nashua Nedtel Masters, and Crowns Tournament).

Rose has also come agonisingly close to improving his record on the Tour, with four play-off defeats including the Memorial Tournament in 2014-15 and the BMW Championship in 2017-18.

Justin Rose majors

Rose’s only major championship win came at the 2013 US Open at the notoriously difficult Merion, where he finished two shots clear of Phil Mickelson and Jason Day.

He almost added to his majors tally, but Rose has missed out on The Masters twice through play-off defeats. In 2017, he was defeated by Sergio Garcia. Despite finishing at -9 over the four-day event, Rose was unable to match the Spaniard in sudden death play.

Then, in 2025, Rose launched a thrilling assault on the top spot at Augusta to push Rory McIlroy to a play-off. It was McIlroy who won there, to claim his Grand Slam, but Rose earned plaudits for his behaviour on the final green as he embraced his rival for the title.

Ryder Cup record

Justin Rose has now appeared at seven Ryder Cups, being a part of Team Europe since 2008. He was part of the winning team in 2012, 2014, 2018, 2023, and most recently in 2025.

This year, Rose had a fiery battle with Bryson DeChambeau on the Friday. He may have lost to Cam Young on the final day, but Rose hit an insane shot from just off the cart path on the 13th that had everyone applauding what was considered an impossible shot.

Overall, Rose’s Ryder Cup record is mighty impressive. He has five wins and two losses in team matches, while his individual record is now 16 wins, 10 losses, and three ties from 29 matches. That’s a success rate of just over 60% of all potential points he could have won over the years.

Justin Rose caddie

Mark Fulcher is Rose’s caddie. ‘Fooch’ is a former Bedfordshire Boys Championship winner. The pair separated in 2019 before reuniting ahead of the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome.

Justin Rose family

Rose’s parents are Ken and Annie. Ken sadly passed away in 2003. Rose’s father was still coaching his son just months before he passed.

Rose is married to Kate Rose. Kate was born on July 30, 1980, and started dating Justin in 2000. The couple tied the knot in 2006. They now have two kids, Leo and Lottie.
