Tiger Woods is set to continue his absence on the PGA Tour for quite some time, having just under gone another surgery.
Woods is a 15-time major champion and an 82-time PGA Tour winner, but has yet to make a start this season.
The American has been limited to TGL appearances, where he has been representing Jupiter Links Golf Club.
Woods was limited to just five PGA Tour starts in 2024, appearing at the Genesis Invitational and the four major championships.
But back problems have plagued the 49-year-old for some time, with a ruptured achilles now added to his lengthy career injury list, with Ludvig Aberg wishing Woods a speedy recovery.

Bernhard Langer returned from achilles surgery after three months
Woods has undergone successful surgery on the injury, having suffered the issue while ramping his training regime at home.
Given his health problems, an exact recovery period is unknown, but Woods can gain some form of comfort from fellow legend Bernhard Langer.
The German tore his achilles tendon playing pickleball in February 2024, and underwent surgery the following day.
Just three months later, he was back playing tournaments, as reported by Sanford Health in September that year.

Langer carefully followed advice from the likes of his surgeon and close doctor friends, and was back chipping and putting after only two-and-a-half months.
And importantly, through a session with his golf coach, Langer discovered he was able to swing the same way he did prior to the significant injury.
Tiger Woods can take comfort from Bernhard Langer recovery
Langer certainly made light work of his recovery, with the 66-year-old returning to play the Insperity Invitational on the PGA Tour Champions three months after his surgery.
At The Woodlands Country Club in May 2024, the two-time Masters champion finished T31 after carding rounds of 69 and 74.
Woods meanwhile would have undoubtedly been eyeing a Masters appearance this season, but that has unfortunately now been ruled out.
Golf fans would have loved to have watched the five-time champion in action at Augusta National, the site of his most recent major win.

His injury history will be a worry regarding the timeframe for his latest setback, but the fact a much older Langer recovered after just three months should be viewed as a major positive for Woods.
If indeed such a return is possible, Woods would be extremely wise to make use of a cart as much as he possibly can in any future tournaments.
