Next up on the PGA Tour is the Valspar Championship! The Golfing Gazette lists all the key information and our experts have predicted the winner.
The Players Championship ended on Monday with Rory McIlroy beating J.J. Spaun in a one-sided three-hole playoff at TPC Sawgrass.
Now, it’s time for the next event of the Florida swing where Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas headline an excellent field.
Here is everything you need to know about the Valspar Championship so you can stay updated.

The Valspar Championship 2025 will commence with the first round on Thursday, March 20 and the final round is set to take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
The Valspar Championship location
The Valspar Championship has had many different names since it was established in 2000 but its home has always remained the same.
The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort is one of the most difficult venues on the PGA Tour calendar.

Which players are in the Valspar Championship field?
Considering the Players Championship was only last week and the Masters is next month, the lineup for the Valspar Championship is seriously impressive.
Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas and 2015 winner Jordan Spieth are three of the biggest names in the field, while Tommy Fleetwood and Sepp Straka are two of the most in-form.
There are also the likes of Tom Kim, Shane Lowry and Michael Kim who will be teeing it up at the Copperhead Course.
How to watch the Valspar Championship (US)
Golf Channel will show live TV coverage of the Valspar Championship to fans in the United States on all four days of the tournament. NBC will broadcast the final hours on Saturday and Sunday.
| Day | Channel (Eastern Time) |
| Thursday | Golf Channel (2 – 6 p.m.) |
| Friday | Golf Channel (2 – 6 p.m.) |
| Saturday | Golf Channel (1 – 3 p.m.), NBC (3 – 6 p.m.) |
| Sunday | Golf Channel (1 – 3 p.m.), NBC (3 – 6 p.m.) |

What is the Valspar Championship prize money?
The prize money at the Valspar Championship is $8.7 million in total. It’s not one of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events so it’s nothing like the $25m at last week’s Players Championship.
The winner will take home $1.66m, 18% of the overall purse, while the second and third will earn $948,300 and $600k, respectively.
The Valspar Championship picks
The Golfing Gazette writers have predicted the winner of the Valspar Championship:
Peter Lynch: It’s another star-studded PGA Tour field filled with some of the best players out there, but I think the St Patrick’s theme can continue this week, with Shane Lowry following in the footsteps of last week’s winner Rory McIlroy. He’s in great form in 2025 and can be confident of converting that into a trophy at the Valspar.
Jordan Harris: Justin Thomas outscored Rory McIlroy over the last three days at TPC Sawgrass, largely thanks to his 62 on Friday. He has been knocking on the door for several months now, so this could be a fantastic opportunity to end his current wait for a win.
James Shearman: Tommy Fleetwood’s time to win his first PGA Tour event is now. The Englishman has finished in the top 15 at the last three events and is probably the best player in the field outside of Xander Schauffele – who struggled last week at The Players.
