Team Europe will still be celebrating their Ryder Cup success at Bethpage Black, but the USA will already be looking ahead to the next edition of the prestigious event.

The USA will have revenge at the forefront of their minds at Adare Manor in 2027, having just lost out to their rivals on home soil.

Luke Donald expertly guided Europe to Ryder Cup success in New York, where the visitors left with a 15-13 win over their hosts.

Donald could stay on as Europe captain for Adare Manor in 2027, while there have been calls for Keegan Bradley to stay as US captain.

But Bradley has been criticized as well for his role at the latest Ryder Cup, at which he decided against picking himself to play.

USA have three young talents who could make their 2027 Ryder Cup team

Whether or not Bradley stays in charge or indeed plays in Ireland remains to be seen, along with which players make the team.

But it does seem likely that fresh blood will be needed to topple Europe, and there are three amazing young talents who could indeed break into the team to help achieve that goal.

Jackson Koivun

Perhaps top of the list is Jackson Koivun, who has enjoyed a fantastic season on the biggest stage aged just 20.

Koivun has played seven times on the PGA Tour in 2025, with six cuts made and three top 10 finishes secured, including a T4 at the Procore Championship just before the Ryder Cup.

Dan Rapaport thinks the Bethpage atmosphere may have overwhelmed Koivun, who ultimately wasn’t chosen by Bradley, but he may just make it next time.

Chris Gotterup

Chris Gotterup has indeed managed to get over the line on the PGA Tour in 2025, securing his second career win at the Scottish Open.

It followed the 26-year-old’s success at the 2024 Myrtle Beach Classic, with another hugely impressive showing arriving in the form of a solo third finish at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

Bradley told Gotterup it would be hard for him to make the Ryder Cup team this year, but a debut does seem likely at Adare Manor should he continue his current trajectory.

Luke Clanton

Aged 21, Luke Clanton already has 22 PGA Tour starts to his name, and he represents another American golfer who is definitely on the way up.

He admittedly hasn’t enjoyed a standout season and he’s yet to win in his brief career so far, but the youngster has finished as runner-up on two occasions, and has a very high ceiling indeed.

Clanton could challenge Scottie Scheffler in the near future, but the duo could very well be teammates at Adare Manor in 2027.

Other candidates to make the team include Blades Brown and Miles Russell, with US rookies very much a possibility after four lined out for the home side at Bethpage Black.
