Ryder Cup week has officially arrived, with the final preparations now being put in place at Bethpage Black.
Team Europe are preparing for a hostile atmosphere at Bethpage in New York, host of the 45th edition of the Ryder Cup.
They head to the challenging course as defending champions, having defeated the United States in Rome in 2023.
But home advantage is now with Keegan Bradley and his side, just as it was for Luke Donald and his players in Italy.
Bethpage could produce one of the most raucous atmospheres in Ryder Cup history, such is the venue and stacked field involved, among other factors.

The dream first match at the Ryder Cup is already clear
The action gets underway on Friday morning in New York, with the foursomes followed by afternoon four-balls, as is the case for Saturday.
Sunday’s singles sessions then conclude the tournament, with a total of 28 matches set to be contested across the three days.

It remains to be seen who Bradley and Donald will select to get proceedings underway, but it’s fair to say that one dream match would really kick the event off with a bang.
And that would involve Team Europe duo Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood going head-to-head with the United States pair Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau.
The four stars are arguably the most high-profile names in world golf right now, with a battle involving all four certain to set the tone for the rest of the teams.
How have Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood performed ahead of the Ryder Cup?
Scheffler, McIlroy and Fleetwood have all been plying their trade on the PGA Tour this season, with DeChambeau having continued his story with LIV Golf.
He represents the only LIV player on the United States Ryder Cup team, impressively qualifying automatically for Bradley’s side.
| Player | Wins | Top 10s |
| Scottie Scheffler | 6 | 17 |
| Rory McIlroy | 3 | 8 |
| Tommy Fleetwood | 1 | 8 |
| Bryson DeChambeau | 1 | 7 |
Along with a third place finish in the LIV Golf individual standings, the American secured top 10 finishes at The Masters, the PGA Championship and The Open Championship.
Scheffler won the PGA Championship and The Open, as well as claiming four other victories in another stunning PGA Tour season.
But McIlroy and Fleetwood have also had seasons to remember, with the former claiming The Masters title and the latter triumphing at the Tour Championship.
Given the names involved at Bethpage, there is a long list of potential exciting match-ups, but one involving this quartet undoubtedly tops the pile.
