It’s safe to say that Ludvig Aberg is very much the new emerging star in the world of golf right now.
The 24-year-old Swedish star made waves in 2023 when he was selected by Luke Donald to be part of Team Europe for the Ryder Cup in Rome.
Since then, Aberg has gone from strength to strength in his game and he came close to winning The Masters at his first attempt earlier in the year.
For Aberg, the sky really does look like the limit and over the course of his career, he could well win huge events and break records in doing so.

At The Scottish Open this week, Aberg is in the clubhouse at -12 after two rounds of six-under saw him dominate over the opening two days.
And as if it wasn’t impressive enough to see him simply leading, Aberg has put himself into the record books in doing so.

The Swedish superstar is well on course to be the man to beat this weekend.
He’s eaten the course alive really in calm conditions and despite a cluster of top players behind him, he looks well in control of his game.
Indeed, so impressive has Aberg been that he has even managed to put his name into the record books at the Renaissance Club.
Per a stat shared by the popular X account @NuclrGolfStats, Aberg has shot the lowest 36 holes in the history of the Renaissance Club (Par 70).
What else has been said about Ludvig Aberg at the Scottish Open?
As with any young golfer emerging so impressively, they’re going to be the talk of the town.
And that’s what’s happening with Ludvig Aberg.
Indeed, Rich Beem has even said that Aberg is doing something as well as Scottie Scheffler right now.
“I think he’s like Schauffle, good across the board. The ball striker, it’s Scottie Scheffler-esque. It’s just time after time when it leaves the club head you are ‘ok, I’ve not seen that in quite some time,” Beem said.
Aberg, then, is very much catching the eye and could well go onto win over the weekend if he can maintain this effortless form.
