Ludvig Aberg has continued his superb form into the Scottish Open, where he is among the contenders after round one.
The Swede carded a fantastic six-under 64 to finish tied for third after the first 18 holes at The Renaissance Club.
Aberg is among the star-studded list of players taking part in the competition in order to fine-tune their games ahead of The Open Championship.
And he certainly looks capable of making his mark at Royal Troon Golf Club, having finished second at the Masters.
The 24-year-old is preparing for his debut at The Open, with Aberg having played a practice round with Viktor Hovland on the course earlier this week.

What Ludvig Aberg thought after hitting Collin Morikawa’s ball at the Scottish Open
His opening round at the Scottish Open was hugely impressive, but frustratingly could have been better given what happened on the eighth hole.
Aberg’s approach shot landed near the pin, but directly on top of Collin Morikawa’s ball, with both balls then flying off the green.
As quoted by BBC Sport, Aberg has now revealed his immediate thoughts after the shot, saying: “I thought I hit a decent shot, and we just saw the ball just go straight sideways.
“I’ve never seen it before. Probably not going to see it for a long time again.”
Can Ludvig Aberg clinch success at the Scottish Open?
Aberg couldn’t save par after the incident, but the Swede recovered on the back nine with three birdies and an eagle.
Morikawa meanwhile finished just one shot behind on five-under, but finds himself tied for eighth with a long list of players.
Leading the way after the first round at the Scottish Open was Justin Thomas, who ended the day on eight-under, with many golf fans suggesting Thomas has started playing well in a bid to impress new Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.
Aberg will, however, be confident of closing the gap on day two at The Renaissance Club, having made six top-10 finishes this season.
The 2023 Ryder Cup star also has 10 top-25 finishes, and has made the cut from 13 of his 14 events so far.
He has yet to taste success in 2024, with two second-place finishes, but now has a great chance to clinch silverware in Scotland.
