Keegan Bradley is ramping up his Ryder Cup preparations, with his recent efforts seemingly involving team harmony.

America have been told their big Ryder Cup advantage is gone for Bethpage Black, which plays host to the event in September.

Bradley captains the home team in New York, taking over from Zach Johnson, with Luke Donald retaining his role as European captain.

Europe won the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, with Bradley now under huge pressure to steal back the trophy from America’s rivals.

The action gets underway on September 23, with the visitors heading to the tournament on the back of a 16½ – 11½ victory in Italy.

Keegan Bradley may have made mistake as Patrick Reed omitted from Ryder Cup dinner

And as per Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis, the captain hosted a dinner for the current top 20 in the American Ryder Cup standings.

Members of the 2023 team and the 2024 Presidents Cup team were also invited, as were LIV Golf duo Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.

But Bradley may have already made a mistake for Bethpage Black with his selections, with Patrick Reed surely deserving of an invite.

The Masters champion in 2018, Reed has perhaps above all else been playing better than Koepka at this moment in time.

Koepka boasts a stunning five major wins, and even sits ahead of Reed in the LIV Golf individual standings, with the former in 12th and the latter in 14th.

But The Masters perhaps showed Bradley much more than the entire LIV Golf season so far, with Reed finishing third last month as Koepka missed the cut.

Johnson Wagner thinks Patrick Cantlay could be the new Reed for the next Ryder Cup, with Bradley clearly going to come under the spotlight more and more until his picks.

There will be plenty of outside noise, but he must ignore that as much as possible as the tournament nears.

The pressure in the role is big enough already without such distractions, with Bradley needing to trust himself in the selection process.

Both Reed and Koepka will undoubtedly be eager to be involved, but competition for places is certain to be fierce, with DeChambeau sitting comfortably in the US Team rankings.
