Jon Rahm found himself in contention on the final day of the PGA Championship, but ultimately fell short as Scottie Scheffler triumphed.
Rahm had issues with his swing on the back nine of Quail Hollow, which played a part in his final round two-over 73.
The LIV Golf ace started out with back-to-back 70s on Thursday and Friday at the PGA Championship, with a 67 carded on Saturday.
Rahm ended his run in North Carolina on four-under, which secured a tie for eighth place with eight other players.
Scheffler meanwhile clinched a five-shot victory on 11-under, with the world number one winning a third major championship title.

Jon Rahm helps expose Official World Golf Ranking at the PGA Championship
The tournament ensured the American maintained his spot at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), which has once again been exposed by what happened at Quail Hollow.
Scheffler rightfully occupies top spot in the latest rankings, followed by Masters champion Rory McIlroy in second.
But amid the current standoff between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, the OWGR really fails to actually show the best golfers in the world.
Rahm is fourth in the Data Golf Rankings, but the Spaniard is all the way down in 72nd place in the OWGR.
With LIV Golf events not recognised by the rankings, the remarkable situation is unavoidable right now, but should be changed as soon as possible.
Bryson DeChambeau overcomes odds with top 10 world ranking spot
Rahm certainly isn’t the only player to expose the rankings issue, with Bryson DeChambeau perhaps having done more than his fellow LIV Golf player in that regard.
He very impressively occupies 10th place in the OWGR, ahead of many PGA Tour players such as Shane Lowry, Viktor Hovland and Tommy Fleetwood.

The situation has occurred due to DeChambeau’s impressive major championship displays, the latest of which was a T2 finish at the PGA Championship.
It immediately follows his T5 finish at The Masters last month, with the LIV Golf star clearly among the game’s best at this moment in time.
He now returns to LIV Golf full of confidence, and will be keen to maintain his good form at major championship level at the US Open.
The next major of the season arrives next month, with DeChambeau the defending champion going into the event at Oakmont.
