The Plantation Course at Kapalua will once again host the opening PGA Tour event of the season.

The Sentry, the first Signature Event, has proven popular with players. The course is carved into the West Maui Mountains and offers stunning ocean views from nearly every hole.

Xander Schauffele believes it’s a special way to start the year, and it’s no surprise that almost all the world’s best players make the trip. Although, Scottie Scheffler will miss The Sentry after a freak accident on Christmas Day. Scheffler is expected to be fit for The American Express in two weeks.

With the Plantation Course being one of the more eye-catching on the PGA Tour, The Golfing Gazette has taken a look at how much it would cost to visit the unique Maui venue.

First, let’s examine the Plantation Course, which will host the world’s best players this week.

The standard green fee is $469, which is $30 cheaper for guests of the Kapalua Resort. The Bay Course is priced at $279 for non-guests and $259 for those staying at Kapalua.

There are also some pretty pricey add-ons. A rider fee is $65, club rental is $85, and golf shoes are $19 for 18 holes.

Furthermore, visitors must pay $25 to hit 100 balls on the practice range or $250 for a 12-basket card.

Does Kapalua Golf offer a package deal?

For those wanting to experience Kapalua, looking to purchase a package deal is perhaps the financially astute option.

Three rounds – one on The Plantation Course and two on The Bay Course – cost $949 and $899 for guests. There are, however, some additional benefits.

Those who purchase a package deal can access cheaper additional and replay rounds. Unlimited range balls are provided, along with a complimentary rider fee. Club rentals are priced at $159 for the entire package instead of $85 per round.

Despite the marginal discount, anyone wanting to play at the stunning PGA Tour venue will have to accept some significant fees.
