The Masters has finally arrived, with Augusta National once again playing host to the major championship.

Min Woo Lee thinks he can win The Masters, which comes shortly after he won his first PGA Tour title at the Houston Open.

Another PGA winner in 2025, Ludvig Aberg wants to improve his approach play ahead of The Masters, which starts on Thursday.

World number one Scottie Scheffler headlines the star-studded field, having won The Masters in 2022 and 2024.

His nearest rival Rory McIlroy is also in the field, with the four-time major champion chasing his first title at Augusta.

Stuart Appleby holds record for most consecutive bogey-free holes at a single Masters

Another player who has failed to win The Masters throughout his career is Stuart Appleby, despite recording a superb feat at the event in 2001.

Asked on X which player has the most consecutive bogey-free holes at a single Masters, Justin Ray was on hand to reply: “Stuart Appleby, 50 straight in 2001.”

But the Australian only managed to finish T31 that year, ending on even par 288 after rounds of 72, 70, 70 and 76.

What is Stuart Appleby’s major championship record?

Now 53, Appleby not only failed to triumph at The Masters that year, but he doesn’t have a major championship win to his name.

He did, however, come extremely close in 2002, when Ernie Els beat Appleby, Steve Elkington and Thomas Levet to win The Open Championship.

But the Australian still has a very stellar PGA Tour career on the books, having won nine times between 1997 and 2010.

Such wins have come from 551 PGA Tour starts, and include three consecutive successes at the Mercedes Championships.
