Bryson DeChambeau has hit form at the perfect time, winning LIV Golf Korea right before the PGA Championship.

DeChambeau’s short game has been praised after his success at LIV Golf Korea, where he clinched a two-shot win.

The two-time major champion now sits second in the LIV Golf individual standings, having finished T2 in Mexico City late last month.

Only Joaquinn Niemann is ahead of DeChambeau in the individual standings, with both players now turning their focus to the PGA Championship as the PGA Tour focuses on the Truist Championship.

Quail Hollow is the venue for the second major championship of 2025, but DeChambeau may indeed already have one eye on the US Open.

Oakmont changes for the US Open play into the hands of Bryson DeChambeau

Oakmont plays host to the US Open in June, with DeChambeau heading into the event as the defending champion.

And he and the other players in the field have now been handed insight into the course, with club officials and the United States Golf Association having just previewed the tournament.

Officials outlined the changes to the course for the upcoming competition, with Oakmont playing host to the US Open for a record 10th time.

It returns to the Pennsylvania course for the first time since 2016, when DeChambeau’s fellow American Dustin Johnson came out on top.

Oakmont was recently named an anchor site, alongside Pebble Beach and Pinehurst 2, the latter of which played host as DeChambeau won the US Open in 2024.

But of more interest to the two-time winner will be the hole length, and those of the par threes in particular.

They range from 182 yards to 289 yards, which surely plays into the hands of the big-hitting LIV Golf star.

What are all the par three and par five lengths at Oakmont for the US Open?

DeChambeau knows more than most in recent times what it takes to win the US Open, which he did in 2020 and 2024.

He beat Matthew Wolff by six shots for his first success at Winged Foot, before battling past Rory McIlroy by one shot at Pinehurst last year.

The popular figure has perhaps unsurprisingly been the biggest hitter on LIV Golf in 2025 so far, with an average driving distance of 333.3 yards.

And such big hitting can be combined with his form to help produce a strong finish at Oakmont, with DeChambeau now boasting three top five finishes in his last three LIV Golf starts.
