Bryson DeChambeau has been one of the most successful golfers in the world over the past few years.

DeChambeau‘s popularity has risen significantly since he joined LIV Golf from the PGA Tour in 2022 and he is now one of the biggest three draws in the game alongside Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

The 31-year-old Dallas native has been in superb form over the past 18 months.

So much so that DeChambeau qualified for the US Ryder Cup team having played just eight qualifying events.

And DeChambeau has proven to be a real leader among the Ryder Cup team behind the scenes, according to US captain Keegan Bradley.

However, it wasn’t always that way for the LIV Golf star. He very much marched to the beat of his own drum and in some ways, he still does.

We have all definitely seen a different side to DeChambeau over the past few years, though. While he was incredibly successful on the PGA Tour, LIV seems to have given him a completely new lease of life.

How much Bryson DeChambeau paid his caddie during final year on the PGA Tour

DeChambeau has earned $45 million dollars so far in 2025, according to Forbes, and is ranked eighth in the list of the highest earning golfers this year.

He was a big deal in 2021 as well. Nine months after winning the US Open at Winged Foot in 2020, DeChambeau won the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, and he made 20 cuts from 22 starts on the PGA Tour.

Back in 2021 while still a member of the PGA Tour, DeChambeau was asked how much he paid his caddie when speaking on the Full Send Podcast.

The two-time US Open champion responded by saying: Depending on how you play. If you miss the cut, you are still paying him a flat rate. If you make the cut and finish top 20, you would make a certain percentage and then it gets amped up when I finish top 10 and then when I win it’s 10%.

But think about the caddies on the Korn Ferry Tour. When the players aren’t making any money. Sometimes the caddies make more than the players on the Korn Ferry Tour because the players aren’t making any money every single week but they are having to pay them a flat rate.

He was then asked if he ever argues with his caddie.

DeChambeau said: All the time. Every player is like that. You should see Kevin Na, the interaction between him and his caddie is legendary.

At the time of this interview, the winner of the FedEx Cup received $15 million and DeChambeau confirmed that he would pay his caddie $1.5 million, if he won the event.

Bryson DeChambeau’s final full season on the PGA Tour

DeChambeau enjoyed a really successful season on the PGA Tour back in 2021.

Here are his results and the money he earned:

Top-25s12

DeChambeau won $3,924,000 from his two victories, so that means his caddie would have pocketed $392,000 from just those two events.

Aside from those two wins, he had another seven top-10 finishes which earned him around $3 million. So let’s say he paid his caddie a rate of 7.5% for those finishes.

That would mean his man on the bag earned $225,000 from those seven events.

In the rest of the tournaments DeChambeau played, he picked up around $500,000 and at a rate of 5%, his caddie would have taken home roughly $25,000.

So in the 2021 season, DeChambeau’s caddie would have earned roughly $642,000. Not bad work if you can get it!
