Ludvig Aberg is unquestionably one of the best golfers on the PGA Tour.

His golf swing is a thing of beauty and the pace with which he plays the game is incredibly refreshing to see.

However, Ludvig Aberg clearly has one major problem that has prevented him from winning more than he has done on the PGA Tour throughout his career.

Where would you rank Ludvig Aberg if he fixed his putting?

Aberg’s putting has been incredibly streaky at times during the few years he has been out on Tour.

However, his main problem has been his inability to produce his best golf under the most intense pressure.

Someone with Aberg’s ability should have won more than twice on the PGA Tour over the past few years. It really is as simple as that.

Ludvig Aberg under real pressure to win the Charles Schwab Challenge

The big Swede is in a strong position after one round of the Charles Schwab Challenge, after he posted a 66 on day one at Colonial.

Aberg is incredibly highly-rated on the PGA Tour but he needs to start showing why that is the case.

And he will have no better chance to make it PGA Tour win number three this week in Fort Worth, Texas.

If Aberg doesn’t get the job done, some serious questions need to be asked of him.

There are no other big-name players near the top of the leaderboard.

While winning a golf tournament is obviously never easy, Aberg won’t have many better opportunities to lift a trophy than he does in Fort Worth, Texas, this week.

He is trying out a new putter this week but, if anything, that should help him, considering how many shots he has frittered away in the past with his blade model.

Aberg has finished inside the top 50 in strokes gained putting in only one season during his time on Tour.

Ludvig Aberg’s career record on the PGA Tour

Aberg has made 56 cuts from 67 starts on the PGA Tour in his career so far.

Who will win the Charles Schwab Challenge this week?

He has won twice and has 15 top-5 finishes to his name as well as 24 top-10s.

Aberg has also finished inside the top-25 an impressive 42 times in 67 starts.

Those are all very impressive numbers, but there is no doubt that he should have won more than he has.

Ludvig Aberg is a player who is capable of going on to win at least 20 times on the PGA Tour, including three or four major championship victories.

However, he needs to start getting over the line and winning more when he is in contention. The more tournaments he fails to win when he’s in and around the top of the leaderboard, the more it will become a psychological issue for him.
