Jordan Spieth has been one of the PGA Tour’s best and most popular players over the past 13 years or so.
Spieth achieved monumental success as soon as he came out on the PGA Tour, winning 11 times during his first four seasons, including four major championship triumphs.
He won The Open Championship in 2017, joining Jack Nicklaus as one of only two players to win three separate majors before turning 24.
Do you believe Jordan Spieth can get back to his best?
How many times will he win on the PGA Tour this season?
However, it has pretty much been downhill from there for the Dallas native. He has won just twice in the last nine years, with his last victory coming nearly four years ago.
That said, there are reasons for the 32-year-old to be optimistic right now, after his impressive showing at Pebble Beach last week.
Spieth was ranked third in strokes gained putting throughout the week – a part of the game where he has really struggled for seven years now.
It’s fair to say that Spieth is still one of the PGA Tour’s biggest ‘needle-movers’.

He attracts eyeballs to the sport regardless of how well he is playing. However, could there come a time when that wears thin?
Jordan Spieth in danger of losing PGA Tour lifeline
There is a very good reason why he actually needs to start playing well and winning again, aside from self-gratification, of course.
Spieth has been working incredibly hard on his game over the past couple of years.
However, the harder he works on his swing, the more he seems to struggle out on the golf course.
The three-time major champion is in the Genesis Invitational field this week and he’ll be at Bay Hill for the next Signature Event in March as well.
Spieth played in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last week – the first Signature Event of the 2026 PGA Tour season.
So, despite not being qualified for the biggest events on the PGA Tour calendar, he has played in all three of them so far and appeared in six of the eight on offer last year.

The reason why Spieth has gained entry into so many Signature Events without exempt status for them? Sponsor invites.
He has more than earned those due to the thrilling golf he has played and the entertainment that he has provided the fans over the past decade and more.
However, he may find that those invites begin to dwindle unless he starts achieving any kind of sustained success again.
Why Jordan Spieth has to win again on the PGA Tour soon
Success sells tickets. As good as he has been throughout the years, do you think these huge companies sponsoring PGA Tour events will continue to use their exemption on a player who keeps finishing around 40th position?
What do you expect from Jordan Spieth in 2026?
Will he win on the PGA Tour this season?
In his last seven Signature Events, Spieth’s average finishing position is 37th, and that’s not including the Travelers Championship in June, when he withdrew.
As things stand, these huge companies are banking on Jordan Spieth rediscovering his very best form and winning one of the PGA Tour’s biggest events.
However, the longer he goes on without a win, the less likely he will be to receive invites to play in the Signature Events.
The Dallas native absolutely has to find his best form once again, and quickly, if he is to continue to receive the perks that he is currently enjoying due to his previous success in the game.
