Jordan Spieth has shown some hugely encouraging form during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week.
Spieth has endured a torrid time on the golf course over the past few years and is without a win on the PGA Tour since April 2022.
The 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas, enjoyed incredible amounts of success early on in his career but not only has he stalled over the past nine years since his last major win, but he’s actually gone backward.
Do you believe Jordan Spieth can get back to his best?
How many times will he win on the PGA Tour this season?
Spieth is still one of the PGA Tour’s biggest and most popular stars, in spite of his poor recent form.
He is one of the only super-talented sporting stars in the world who fans can genuinely relate to, especially given his struggles over the past few years.
During the off-season, Spieth embarked on a swing change journey and despite his missed cut at the WM Phoenix Open last week, it seems like it could be paying off.
The three-time major champion has shown glimpses of his old self at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week.
While he’s clearly not reaching the same levels he did from 2015 to 2017, the signs look very good.

Spieth is currently sitting in a tie for 11th at Pebble Beach, after shooting impressive rounds of 66, 68 and 69.
And he will be absolutely delighted with one specific aspect of his game on the Monterey Peninsula this week.
Jordan Spieth will win on the PGA Tour in 2026 after encouraging Pebble Beach showing
Spieth is really happy with his swing right now and the next step will be for him to contend deep into a final round.
Will his swing hold up under the most intense pressure? That obviously remains to be seen.
Sunday’s final round at Pebble Beach will give us all an idea of just how close he is to returning to his very best.

Sure, Spieth has made plenty of mistakes this week, but he has done that throughout his entire career – even when he was the best golfer in the world.
He has made 16 birdies and an eagle this week and one part of his game in particular has made that possible.
Spieth has rolled his ball beautifully on the tricky Poa annua greens at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill this week.
In fact, the former world number one is ranked first in strokes gained putting after three rounds of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, having gained 7.061 strokes on the field.
That represents a huge improvement on his putting performances over the past five or six years.
When Spieth came out on the PGA Tour, he quickly earned a reputation as the best putter in the game and had an uncanny knack of holing ridiculously difficult putts from long range.
What do you think is the real reason why Jordan Spieth has not won on the PGA Tour since 2022?
So when Spieth lost his ability to putt well, his wayward driving and loose iron play then became seriously problematic.
Jordan Spieth’s PGA Tour putting stats since 2019
It’s not just the fact that Spieth has been rolling more putts in that has been so encouraging to see.
Spieth’s stroke actually looks far more solid as well.
He seems to have reduced the amount of forward press he puts into his stroke before he takes the putter away.
There is definitely a better rhythm to the 32-year-old’s putting stroke as well.
Here are Spieth’s stats on the greens over the past six seasons on the PGA Tour, and it makes for pretty grim reading:
| Season | Strokes gained putting rank |
| 2025 | 65 |
| 2024 | 101 |
| 2022/23 | 79 |
| 2021/22 | 155 |
| 2020/21 | 33 |
| 2019/20 | 105 |
Consistently strong putting is all about feel and confidence.
Spieth has unquestionably overcomplicated his putting over the past five or six years.
Interestingly, he simply hasn’t done that this week. The Dallas native has meticulously stuck to his routine over every single putt, and he doesn’t seem to be spending as much time over the ball.
Spieth might not win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am but whatever happens during the final round on Sunday, this week has been a huge step in the right direction for him.
The way he has rolled his ball on the greens over the past three days will have given him huge belief that a victory may be just around the corner.
Jordan Spieth will win again on the PGA Tour; it’s just a matter of time before he ends his four-year wait for a victory.
