Tommy Fleetwood booked his spot at the Tour Championship after an impressive display at Castle Pines last week.

The Englishman started the week just outside the FedEx Cup top 30, but thanks to a T5 finish, Fleetwood ended the BMW Championship 22nd in the standings.

Now, after being one of the big names at risk before the BMW Championship, Fleetwood has a chance to compete for golf’s most lucrative prize in the season-ending Tour Championship.

The 33-year-old has already touched down in Atlanta ahead of Thursday’s first round, and Fleetwood was seen playing some interesting shots on East Lake’s practice green.

Taylormade has dominated the equipment market in 2024, with several elite players using the QI10 driver and also utilising the brand’s various iron ranges.

Fleetwood, however, was seen testing out the Hi-Toe 4 wedge at East Lake. A video of the Englishman playing several pitch shots from around the green has emerged, and it’s fair to say the product was producing exceptional levels of spin.

Given East Lake’s renovations and new green complexes, it will be interesting to see if Fleetwood includes the new wedges in his bag in order to gain more short-game control.

Taylormade Hi-Toe 4 Wedge explained

The newest Hi-Toe wedge from Taylormade is – unsurprisingly – the fourth generation of Hi-Toe wedges they’ve produced.

Unlike several modern wedges, the Hi-Toe incorporates full-face grooves, which provides more confidence for golfers of all abilities.

Ultimately, whether it’s Tiger Woods or an 18 handicapper, being able to generate spin and control is essential, and that’s precisely what the Hi-Toe does.

The Hi-Toe 4 features a raw spin tread with laser etching on the face to generate more spin. The feature is supposed to channel water away from the contact area.

For those who are looking to purchase a new wedge, the product is available from September 6 and is priced at $179.99.
