A video of Ludvig Aberg on the range at Muirfield Village Golf Club has emerged ahead of this week’s Memorial Tournament.

The world number six hasn’t been seen since missing the cut at the PGA Championship last month and had previously pulled out of the Wells Fargo with a suspected knee injury.

After finishing second at The Masters, the 24-year-old’s promising 2024 has seemingly ground to a halt.

However, ahead of Jack Nicklaus’ signature PGA Tour event this week, things appear to be more positive on the injury front.

Staff writer for the PGA Tour, Paul Hodowanic, shared a video of Aberg on the range at Muirfield Village on Wednesday and insisted the 24-year-old’s injury issues looked a thing of the past.

Hodowanic wrote on X: β€œWatched him hit balls for 30 minutes, and he looked solid. Didn’t appear to be inhibited by the knee injury that kept him out of Wells Fargo last month.”

Aberg also decided not to speak to the media on Wednesday, a decision that wasn’t injury-related. β€œΓ…berg will not speak to media as previously scheduled,” Hodowanic added. β€œI’m told it’s not injury-related.”

Extended break needed for Ludvig Aberg

Aberg taking several weeks off after the PGA Championship was a good move. Something didn’t feel quite right about his performance at Valhalla – and his knee injury could have had something to do with it.

His finish at The Masters had the golfing world extremely excited, and now the fully-fit Swede will fancy his chances of competing at Muirfield Village and Pinehurst No.2 next week.

Aberg is part of a stacked field which has descended on Dublin, Ohio, for the signature event as the world’s best fine-tune their skills ahead of the U.S. Open.

An enthralling four days are in store for the patrons at Muirfield Village and those watching around the world – and a fully fit Aberg could stand every chance of challenging.
