Bryson DeChambeau is confirmed as one of 12 Team USA players for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black and Keegan Bradley has been bigging up one of his top stars.
Despite being on the LIV Golf scene, DeChambeau managed to secure a spot as an automatic qualifier thanks to a stellar year after his US Open win at Pinehurst in 2024.
Indeed, DeChambeau has apparently been a big team player behind the scenes already and going into September’s event, Bradley will be pinning his hopes on him to do well.
Nevertheless, DeChambeau’s aggressive playing style makes picking a partner for him that bit more difficult.
However, according to captain Bradley, there will be absolutely no issues with LIV’s top star.

Keegan Bradley shares his plans for Bryson DeChambeau at the Ryder Cup
With DeChambeau locked in some time ago and now Bradley having picked his full 12 – including leaving himself out – all eyes are now on Bethpage.
Still, with DeChambeau’s long-hitting a big feature of his game, Bradley will need to think carefully over who he picks alongside him.
Or so that’s what we assumed, as Bradley told the press after announcing his team that DeChambeau will pretty much fit in everywhere.
“The simple fact is Bryson DeChambeau is one of the best golfers on planet Earth so we could pair him up with a lot of guys. He has been very open that he will play with anybody,” Bradley revealed.
“He is just rabid to get out there and represent his country at Bethpage Black. He is a great weapon we are going to have.
“Bryson has been absolutely incredible through this whole process and whether he is on LIV or whatever Tour he plays it does not matter on that first tee at Bethpage Black. It matters that we have 12 strong players who are going to come together and win the Ryder Cup.”

Bryson DeChambeau can be Team USA’s main man at Bethpage
While a lot of eyes will be on Scottie Scheffler to be the leader for Team USA, the Ryder Cup is exactly the sort of event where DeChambeau will thrive. Especially the heated atmosphere at Bethpage.
Interestingly, it might be that we get to see both DeChambeau and Scheffler together, which in itself would be quite the spectacle.
| Year | Format | Playing partner | Opponent | Result |
| 2018 | Foursomes | Phil Mickelson | Sergio Garcia and Alex Noren | L 5&4 |
| 2018 | Foursomes | Tiger Woods | Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari | L 5&4 |
| 2021 | Fourballs | Scottie Scheffler | Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton | AS |
| 2021 | Fourballs | Scottie Scheffler | Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland | W 3&1 |
Over the course of the weekend in New York, we could see DeChambeau thrive and effectively, become the new ‘Captain America’ that Keegan Bradley needs.
