Bryson DeChambeau might be the most popular golfer in the world right now and he’s been very much delivering for the golf fans in India this week.
DeChambeau is one of a number of LIV Golf stars who have headed over to India to play in the International Series event and he’s spent the week embracing the challenge.
DeChambeau jokingly called the course in India ‘diabolical’ and in fairness, the course has proved to be a massive challenge for everyone, including the LIV players.
With the final round underway after bad light in round three called a halt to play, DeChambeau is actually playing well and has fought his way into contention behind the leader, Ollie Schniederjans.
However, arguably more poignant than the winner was what DeChambeau did during that break in play.

Bryson DeChambeau draws massive crowds during break in play in India
DeChambeau’s popularity over in India has been huge and it’s been no surprise to see a lot of his off-course antics taking the limelight.
Indeed, as shared by popular Golf journalist Flushing It on X – who is at the event – DeChambeau took it upon himself to stay out and practice on the range, before taking time out to sign autographs and speak to fans.
“It’s amazing seeing those kids hoping to and then getting the autographs. I’ve always looked forward to doing it, especially when I was younger. Seeing them jumping at the bit is so cool. It’s why I play this game,” DeChambeau told the media.
What Bryson DeChambeau is really like off the course
For a long time, Bryson DeChambeau was a polarising character in golf and he was very much marmite in terms of being liked.
However, with his YouTube channel flying and him being so open with access – as well as his excellent golf game – his popularity has surged.
Indeed, that’s an observation that Ian Poulter’s caddy has made while seeing DeChambeau on LIV.
“He is so good with everyone. He is on the LIV Tour, so I am out there with him or see him, and he will come off that golf course and be two hours out there signing stuff and talking to kids. He’s brilliant. He gets it. He gets what you will have to do to be followed,” Terry Mundy said.
“He is a heavy practice, but he definitely makes time for the fans,” he added. “He is so fan-friendly. Like Mickelson, he was always like that.”
