Bryson DeChambeau is very much a maverick of the modern golf world but while he might divide some with his style, he can put his name right up there with some of the best.
Now a two-time major winner after landing a second US Open in 2024, DeChambeau has already carved his path into golfing history.
However, with his status on LIV Golf ever growing and his social media channel booming, there is absolutely more to come from DeChambeau.
Still, whatever is to come for the American might still fail to match an achievement he hit when he landed his first US Open in 2020.
In fact, such was the feat of winning at Winged Foot, that it put him alongside only Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the three players to achieve such a feat.

Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus are the two pillars of professional golf.
Between them, they’ve won 33 majors and over 150 times on the PGA Tour as a duo.
However, what links the pair to Bryson DeChambeau is a phenomenal achievement of being among only three players to win an NCAA individual title, a US Amateur title, and the US Open.
With DeChambeau winning at Winged Foot, it means he has the distinct achievement of being the only man alongside Nicklaus and Woods to achieve such a remarkable feat.
Indeed, at the time of his win and when he had it put to him about the feat, DeChambeau admitted it was very much an honour.
“It’s just an honour. I don’t know what else to say. It’s been a lot of hard work,” DeChambeau said.
“Mr. Nicklaus has been always awesome to me. He gave me a sponsor’s invite. Tiger has always been great to me. I can’t say thank you enough to them for them helping me push me along to be a better person and a better golfer, as well. But to be in the likes of the names of that company is special. I’ll forever appreciate that.”
What Tiger Woods told Bryson DeChambeau about becoming a top golfer
There is one thing that is well known on the PGA Tour circuit and that is that Tiger Woods is very giving with his knowledge and information.
Woods is known around the whole TOUR as being a player who is willing to pass on his experience and wisdom and he’s done it with DeChambeau too.
Indeed, DeChambeau has revealed previously just what Woods told him about being a top pro.
“I will say this, Phil gave me a great statement one time, and Tiger’s told me this too – you’ve got to be really smart in the game or you’ve got to be really dumb and you just don’t know anything and you just go play and you have fun. Literally, those are the two things. If you’re stuck in the middle, it’s going to be tough to be one of the best,” he said.
“Sometimes it’s the not as easy route, and vice-versa. The way Dustin Johnson plays, and I’m not saying he’s dumb at all, he’s actually really smart. And the thing is he plays that card really well, but he knows a lot about the golf swing, so it’s kind of a little sneaky smart ploy that he doesn’t really showcase too much.
“Yeah, you’ve either got to not know too much or you’ve got to know a lot. That’s what Phil does, that’s what Vijay’s done. Fred Couples was on the other side. Tiger knew a lot, from the experiences and the times I’ve been with him. And the same thing with me.”
